A website concept and design refresh for Harlaxton, focusing on branding, UX and UI to support both enrolment and visitor journeys.
Summary
This project explored how to present Harlaxton Manor as a study destination, an event space and public-facing estate. Set within a historic manor and gardens, the site needed to balance academic credibility with a sense of place and experience.

Challenge
Harlaxton serves multiple audiences, from prospective students to visitors booking tickets, which creates competing user needs. The challenge was to bring these journeys together without making the site feel fragmented or overly complex.
There was also a need to respect the heritage and visual identity of the estate while modernising the experience, ensuring it felt current without losing its sense of place.
Solution
A structured set of design patterns was created in Figma to bring consistency across the site, supporting both academic and visitor journeys. The UX focused on clearer pathways, helping users to move between enrolment, event hiring and future ticketing functionality without friction.
The UI balances a more modern digital experience with subtle references to the estate’s character, creating something that feels considered and aligned with Harlaxton's vision.
